WHAT IS PRESCHOOL?

Preschool is a child’s first formal introduction to education. It is a place where children have the opportunity to expand their experiences and explore new things. It is a place where children learn and develop through play.

Preschool provides an environment where the process is the focus, rather than the product. Mistakes are expected and accepted for this is the way we all learn.

Preschool is where children explore who they are and what they can do in a safe and accepting environment. It is a place where each child is given the opportunity to express thoughts and ideas in his or her own way.

A key developmental objective of preschool is for each child to develop POSITIVE SELF ESTEEM.

The activities selected for our preschool program are designed to engage children in meaningful activities and experiences. The following pages explain the benefits of these activities.
