EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Tender Years adheres to the philosophy that early childhood years are for fun and learning through discovery and play. Children learn through their experiences; therefore, sensitivity to the value of play is required. It is through play that children create their own meaning and learning schemes. We also recognize that growth is a sequential and orderly process of developmental stages and that these stages occur at individual rates. Our responsibility is to offer a program that will nurture and foster the growth of each child to his/her highest potential for learning is a journey, not a race. Our developmental approach promotes skill building within the context of the child’s everyday activities and experiences. We encourage active exploration and inquiry. We value creativity and diversity. We will nurture and expand the skills your child will need to be academically and socially successful in the future.
