KAREN LESSARD BRUDER
(OWNER/DIRECTOR)

My love for children and teaching began while a teenager as I gave piano lessons to elementary school children. It was this experience that sparked in me the desire to pursue teaching as a career.

I graduated from college with highest honors in 1990 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and State of Maine teacher certification. My course work also included more than 30 credit hours in French, which earned me induction into Phi Sigma Iota, an International Foreign Language Honor Society.

As well as raising five wonderful children, I have worked outside the home as a corporate trainer and a computer programmer at a local catalog retail giant. In 2000, I was delighted to have the opportunity to become an at-home-mom to my 2 youngest children.

Over the past 15 years, I have spent countless hours participating in my children’s education, supporting them at home as well as in the classroom. I have extensive experience designing innovative tools to complement the various learning styles of my children. I am very excited to have the opportunity to use all of my experiences as a parent and my talents and creativity as a teacher to provide the best preschool experience possible for your child.

I am a life-long member of the Cumberland/North Yarmouth community and reside in Cumberland Center with my husband, Bob and our 5 children, Rachel, Kate, Eric, Adam and Stephanie. When I am not cheering them on at sporting events, I enjoy playing the piano, sports, gardening, sewing, crafts and the outdoors.
